Jeff and Jose met while Jeff was a junior copywriter and Jose was an art direction intern at Zimmerman Advertising in 2015.
In late 2016, we moved to Republica Havas, which at the time was just Republica, where we were officially a “dupla” for the first time. There, we ended up with Broken Crayons, an anti-child abuse initiative that brought the agency its first ever global recognition. After that, we moved to Orlando to work for Disney at Yellow Shoes, the in house agency for Disney Parks and Resorts. Disney was about working hard and sneaking big ideas through small cracks. Some examples of that were “Pixar Street View”, which took Pixar’s easter egg tradition to a new medium, and “After Disney” which promoted a day at the parks by focusing only on the car ride home.
In January 2020, we arrived at GUT as senior creatives. That’s when we started to play more with pop culture and “reactvertising”. Our first hit at GUT came in our very first month with “That Look From Popeyes”, which brought GUT Miami its first ever Cannes Lions. Since then, we’ve risen through the ranks, moving up to ACD in 2021 and leading the prototype for GUT Miami’s content department throughout 2022, heading a team of creatives focused on reacting to pop culture on behalf of GUT’s social AORs.
Since early 2023, we’ve worked as Creative Directors, leading a group of creatives on a hunt for indisputable ideas for iconic brands across all platforms.
